Visit a Butterfly Sanctuary

One of the best things about living in Omaha is the incredible organizations that invest here. The Henry Doorly Zoo is frequently voted one of the top 3 zoos in the US. Right in my backyard!

A few years ago they put in a butterfly exhibit – The Butterfly and Insect Pavilion is a total immersion experience and conservation program all in one! Just one more fantastic addition to a day at the zoo!

We have been having extraordinarily nice weather this winter. And on one of these beautiful days, Nick and I (plus a few friends) went to our zoo! And it was a …. zoo! So many people taking advantage of the nice weather! We headed there early, got a great parking spot, and were in and out of the most congested areas before the mad rush.

I brought along a new lens for my camera. It was the first time I’d used it so I played around a bit. The photos of me are taken via cellphone.
